Man U – Wayne Rooney & Colleen McLoughlin’s $13m Wedding Bash
Man U Player Wayne Rooney and his fiancée, Colleen McLoughlin, have spared no expense in their 14 Jun wedding. According to news, the amount is said to be around £5 million.
The British tabloid reported that spending for the opulent nuptials include about £1 million on pre-wedding celebrations, £400,000 to book McLoughlin’s favorite band, Westlife, and £200,000 on her wedding dress from British designer Georgina Chapman’s Marchesa label. So far, the bride-to-be has spent £85,000 on trips to New York for dress fittings.
Five private jets will fly 64 guests from the UK to the four-day celebrations. The celebrations will include a lunch aboard a yacht, a masked ball and champagne breakfast. The main ceremony will take place in Villa Durazzo, part of the stunning 16th century Castello Brown, which boasts panoramic views over the Italian Riviera. The wedding reception will be held in La Cervara, a 700-year-old former abbey.
He has budgeted for £10,000 a head. He doesn’t want anyone paying for anything. He is taking 25 of his friends – who include boxer Ricky Hatton, Manchester United teammates Rio Ferdinand and John O’Shea, Liverpool players Steven Gerrard and Peter Crouchto – to Spanish island Ibiza by private jet on Thursday for four days of partying.
